The One with "I see London, I see (Paris) France..."

It's safe to say trying to balance long weekend traveling and school work is starting to get hectic, but I'll worry about worrying later. This week I had a special visitor! My dad came in on Thursday morning, joined me for a class that afternoon and we went to supper at O'Neil's where two of my girl friends joined us. We woke up early Friday morning to start our weekend trip.

London

We caught an early flight from Dublin to London. We had one day to spend in the city....one! We stopped for some fish n chips before entering the Tower of London.

The Tower of London

We went on a guided tour of the tower and the surrounding grounds. We also saw the Crown Jewels and learned more about the executions that took place on the grounds.

Guard near the Crown Jewels.

Westminister Abbey

We missed being able to look around the Westminister Abbey by a few minutes, BUT just in time to attend a prayer service. It was a great way to see everything inside!

Supper by the London Eye!

Buckingham Palace

Big Ben is currently under construction, but the clock is still visible!

The train from London to Paris we took on Saturday morning.

Paris

Shortly after arriving in Paris we rode on a BigBus Tour to see all around the city. Up next....

The Louvre

We spent a few hours at The Louvre seeing the Mona Lisa and other beautiful artwork.

We came across a sweet restaurant where we spoiled ourself with some French food. The duck was delicious!!

Versailles

Early Sunday morning we headed to Versailles. It was great to be in the sun!

After Versailles we took spent some well deserved down time to reenergize for the day.

We had some time to spare before church so we strolled through the streets of Paris, had a few snacks and enjoyed the sun by the river.

Notre Dame

We attended church Sunday night at the Notre Dame Cathedral. It was a lovely mass!

The Eiffel Tower

After a quick supper and a few amazing macaroons, we made our way to the Eiffel Tower. It was such a beautiful site at night!
